One of the best papers i've read in #mh care. It's 3 pages, I encourage reading it. My usual lens is being alert for problems and false claims. This packed so much truth and insight towards hopeful ways of providing care, it was powerful reading. ty to @researchpixie.bsky.social + other authors

Sweet irony.. from a zine I made at my last hospital w/o Oxe (‘A Patient’s Guide to 1-1 Staff and Where to Find Them) - think my artistic rendition is pretty spot on. (This Oxevision is turned off… because of the argument I had with SABP ages ago…) @stopoxevision.bsky.social #madsky

“we emphasise that the emotional needs of those who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect – including emotional safety, co-regulation and a stable environment – are not greater, or more complex, than anyone else’s” - such an important piece on the pseudo diagnosis of “complex emotional needs”

New paper published today but a long time in the making. A critique of the pseudo-diagnosis of complex emotional needs. We outline a number of concerns and risks of the term which has quickly become widely adopted in the NHS. #MadSky #AcademicSky www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

We're so excited to be supporting the launch of @asylummagazine.bsky.social's spring issue, guest edited by @stopoxevision.bsky.social. Register to join us on March 13th, from 6.30-7.30pm!

Last Wednesday, NSUN’s @courtneybuckler.bsky.social was in Parliament talking about mental health services. They made the case for a care first rather than cost first approach: we must invest in care because it is the right thing to do, not because it may drive productivity or boost the economy.

NHS England has published new principles on the use of digital technologies in mental health inpatient settings. These principles are vague and unenforceable. They don't halt the rollout of tech like Oxevision, and lack regulatory power. Our statement: www.nsun.org.uk/news/nsun-re...

Are North London NHS Foundation Trust about to install Oxevision? This slide was shared with us recently. North London Trust is the merging of Camden and Islington with Barnet, Enfield and Haringey - the former of which stopped using Oxevision after complaints

I would really like to know what MPs are doing to stop the horrendous changes coming out of the assisted dying committee

“After almost a year to establish ‘principles’ for the use of digital technologies on inpatient mental health wards, NHS England have published them– quietly on a Friday as if to avoid attention” stopoxevision.wordpress.com/2025/02/11/e... #MadSky #psysky #StopOxevision

it’s all bleak but “complex physical heath problems”?? you’re a DOCTOR

I have a heartsink GP and his commitment to being 'adequate' has alienated me from using the GP surgery unless I am required to do so to stay registered. Being hostile and dogmatic works!

Any comments #GPsky #MedEd #MedSky ?

I dunno man maybe Dr Seb Pillon is just a heartsink GP Wild that in the year of our lord 2025 this is being used on a GP training scheme gp-training.hee.nhs.uk/bolton/wp-co...

It’s important to add that it comes as news to us that @rcpsych.bsky.social and Rethink are calling for Oxevision to be paused. We welcome and agree with this call but are surprised given neither institution has used their platforms to say this over the past 18+ months of our campaign

“It felt like this invisible person was following me. It became really frightening and I got really unwell. I didn't feel safe... not knowing who was watching me or when” We spoke to BBC about why we are calling for an end to Oxevision, CCTV and other systems on wards www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Maybe if they stopped data mining our tweets that’d be a good start? #AcademicSky #MadSky
