This comic/graphic novel was really good, I just wish the world building was explained throughout the book and not only in the concept sketches/explanations on how it was developed. If you want to read an afrofuturistic comic, this is a great one.

Today I read They Called Me A Lioness. It was incredible. It provided a brave and captivating story as well as history and knowledge of international law. I can already tell this is one of my top reads of the year. I hope I am able to possess even an ounce of her bravery. #booksky

Please be aware of what’s happening in Goma! 🗣️🗣️ Goma’s population is approx 2 mil. Various humanitarian orgs are operating on the ground here. Just a couple of weeks ago teams from Focus Congo were there- some built a school house, which is now housing those displaced from violence.
