So it turns out, bluesky is stupid, it lets you choose GIFs when uploading images, shows them animated in your post preview, but then if you actually post, it posts them as low resolution stills of the first frame. I only noticed this a while after some posts I made, which I'll probably redo soon.

after doing my first posts with media, I just noticed that alt text allows 2000 characters. Is that the way to make decent length posts on this site? Just put in an image, tell people to read alt text in the main post, and then put all the content into that? I doubt many do that, but it seems funny.

How are there still people who think saying "gender is a spectrum" makes them super progressive? A spectrum is two dimensional and if you've interacted with more than two enbies you have to get that it's way more complex on that.
