I'm a portrait photographer normally. Not done any for a while though. I do experiment with Stable Diffusion on my Macbook. This image is with that. The process is write a prompt, pick a model, several low rank adapters, then a little photoshop. It's all getting pretty realistic these days.

If a superintelligence is much smarter than us, then it will predict that we'll fail the mission and resort to it in a crisis. Makes sense to me. We will be dogs watching people not really understanding but glad that the people feed us. So will we try to be good dogs to keep getting fed?

Same prompt but different model and then inpaint, then upscale and fix. AI images aren't usually just a single prompt any more than a good photograph is just click the shutter release.

I thought a judge's job was to apply a sentence that suited the conviction and that it was for someone else to worry about how it is applied. A judge deciding to base a conviction on the office the person is going to have isn't their job. The Orange Man should be treated like any other criminal.

I am not a believer in the books of the magic sky people. It is because if a magic sky person wants me to know something, they'll tell me directly. There would be no language barriers anywhere on the planet. I can't imagine a magic sky person having preferred persons out of the set that were made.

Yup. Australia is a socialist democracy. We all vote, but then the folks we vote in use our tax money to build the stuff that we as a society need (mostly). That isn't Hitler. That isn't fascism. That's access to healthcare for everyone and reasonable roads and ambulance rides when necessary.

So the USA Prez will be a guy convicted stuff to cheat his way into the Prez chair (a felony specifically re the Prez chair) and aided by the cheating became Prez, then wouldn't leave, had a riot, people went to prison for it, and he's now going to be Prez again (I reckon he prob cheated again)....

I live in a place where, when I cut my finger through to the bone, it was ten mins wait in emergency, then a couple of hours of treatment, then I went home. Total cost to me in that instance, $0. Cost over my lifetime 0.5% of my income. I recently had heart surgery (2 yr wait) cost $0.

Thought I'd make Christmas cards capturing the true spirit of Christmas. I realised that the true meaning of Christmas has been lost to the sands of time. Pagan ritual worshipping the Sun, sensible thing to worship really, got replaced with a story about a middle eastern (white?) guy. So elf lass.

As an outsider looking into the reality show 'Merica, fuck yeah' I agree with the sentiment. The orange man is a proven business failure and lies about his wealth so he doesn't count, but rampant capitalism looks to be the theme of the next season of the show.
