I have recently discovered Leonard Cohen’s song ‘Democracy’ while listening to Bob Seger’s 2017 album, ‘I Knew You When’. The line, “Democracy is coming to the USA” had me shaking my head and led me down a rabbit hole. What would Cohen think about the current USA?

The view today as we walked down to Safety Beach on our way to Woolgoolga which has just been voted the second best beach in Australia. It was a picture-perfect day with no wind and very little seaweed.
