The fear of migrants from Mexico, Central and South America has been a right wing trope since Reagan in 1980. They rolled out every “be afraid of the brown people” pile of horseshit they could manipulate or invent to instill fear. The flotilla from Cuba was a major issue for the right in 1980.

He tanks the stock market, and he and his rich buddies buy low… Then he pauses the tariffs, and stocks rise… He and his rich buddies sell high. Rinse and Repeat…over, and over again. It isn’t Rocket Science… It’s actually criminal.

No lawmaker in Congress should be able to own, buy, and sell individual stocks. We need to ban congressional stock trading—and I've got a bill for that.

Former primary school teacher and WWII historian Masatoshi Asari has sent cherry trees around the world from his base in Hokkaido, in part to help atone for Japan's actions during the war.

This is what they're doing to Dr. Badar Khan Suri. This is not my America, and the world is aghast.
