Socialist Nudism: This photo comes from the journal “Свободный человек” (“Free Man”). It was the magazine of the Latvian Nudist Society “Saule.” It was printed in the Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic in March 1991, just a few months before the end of the Soviet Union.

Hitler, the anti-nudist. Discussed in this book from 1935. The new government in Germany suppressed the FKK movement because it was too associated with socialists. Political science wasn’t necessarily William Welby’s strongest area of knowledge, but he made some accurate observations.
