Today in fun C++ behaviour, if you init a ref with itself clang will nuke everything (but throw a warning), but for msvc it's "okay".

With the cooperative matrices starting to standardise I'm kind of starting to wish for a cross-studio cooperation to see an open ML upscaler good enough to kill proprietary solutions. I don't have the power to start something like that unfortunately.

Here is an idea: A piece of software (browser extention ? website ?) that recompute a user rating by reading reviews negative mentioning “woke”, “pronons”, “gay”, “feminist” like positive one.

Regularly, I find myself wishing I would be able to pay in other ways for games and donnate to studios. Like I would have tipped 70€ when finnishing heaven’s vault or I would give something monthly to Game Bakers...

I am thinking about rewriting my build system (brahms, which is currently in rust) in C++. For both practical and political reasons.

Programmers are apparently supposed to dress like this

From now on, if I’m asked “how are you” I will answer with this. If I get a “is this a twin peaks quote ?” I will answer with “would you go on a date with me ?"

Monolith Productions died. In 2003 the studio released what is still one of my favourite first person shooter of all time: Tron 2.0 This is also (to me) my favourite entry of the whole Tron franchise (which is important to me). Fuck Warner.

Last night I dreamed I was shooting videos reviews of brand new cathodic TVs in 2025.

Just saw this proposal: github.com/microsoft/hl... I've been waiting for something like this for so long!

Sometimes you feel personnaly targeted by a post

On one side you’d have a very high chance of getting me with those kind of lines so it can’t be that bad as a flirt. On the other hand I would probably also not get that it would be flirting.

Can't wait to see us games with shadows issues because bias is forbidden.

God hand has the ultimate narrative design because because all the button mashing lead you to finish the game with an actual god hand in real life.

With Valentine's Day coming up, A Twitter thread about saying "I love you" in neurodivergent that I want to share over here:

"By 2025, reCAPTCHA is easily defeated by bots. Yet Google continues to offer it because reCAPTCHA has evolved into a tracking tool that collects user data and generates billions in revenue for Google..."

Last July, we published a research paper about our upcoming geometry compression technology - DGF. 🔥 We're now releasing an #opensource toolchain for its evaluation, experimentation, and integration into future game engines 🔥 🗜️ Find out more on GPUOpen! gpuopen.com/learn/proble...

This 1990 paper introduces G-buffers to cache the properties of a 3D geometry rendering pass (inc normals, depth, uv and id), on the CPU, so as to allow interactive image manipulation like shading, edge detection, and medical imaging www.cs.princeton.edu/courses/arch...

👋EU people: There's a citizen petition calling on the EU to ban "conversion therapy" to "cure" LGBTQ+ folks, a process people who've experienced it describe as "torture". It needs about 5x its current votes to be considered but is especially in need of voters from: Spain, Ireland, Slovenia, Belgium

Probably going to be my straightest post ever but I'm discovering twin peaks, I got through the season 1 and Cooper is so cuuuuute 😳😳😳🥺✨

Very often, I find myself wanting an std vector with a fixed capacity where we could push and pop in and it would assert if a push would go beyond the fixed capacity. Probably allocated in stack. It technically exist in std::pmr::vector but it's so wonky to use...

My heck, this landscape everywhere feel so darn good. it's just so much more confortable to both watch and help my tiny hands trying to aim for even tinier buttons so much I swear (I'm probably also the only person on earth who use her phone landscape)

just got sailfishOS 5 update (Tampella) and it made the bsky work and i have now landscape support everywhere 🥹

I would like companies to know that I see “AI features” as an instant “nope” because to me it mean slow-ass extremely unreliable and woky layer I don’t need before other concerns. I just understand it as “shipped bad software!"
