It sure took them a while. And yet, they still seem intent on killing their own for marginal gains in their failed invasion. ground.news/article/russ...

Trump has a doctrine. However, it is hard to parse out what is going on due to the White House's internal divisions and the administration's generally poor ability to communicate to broad audiences. Time to go through the paperwork to get to the bottom of it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDSz...

Scolding may work on children, but criminals will be undeterred. www.cbsnews.com/news/ukraine...

Two relevant quotes from the article: "Zelensky urged allies to apply more pressure on Russia, blaming Moscow for failing to agree to a previous temporary ceasefire presented by the US." "Kyiv has been on the receiving end of growing pressure from Trump [...]" www.bbc.com/news/article...

It is clear that the repercussions for whoever didn't agree to the ceasefire would have only applied to Ukraine. There is neither benefit nor need to appeasing Russia. www.cnn.com/2025/04/25/p...

Territorial integrity is key to a peaceful life. People shouldn't have to worry about being invaded. Most of the world had agreed that invasions were a thing of the past, and so began an era of relative peace. Russia has undermined world peace. They should not be appeased.

Ukraine has been told to accept Trump's surrender plan for their country or else the US is going to walk away from Ukraine and the peace talks. Trump wants Ukraine to recognize Crimea as belonging to Russia and wants all sanctions on Russia to be lifted. Ukraine will refuse.

Let us not forget who started this war, who invaded whom. Remember who is bombing civilians, remember who refuses a ceasefire. Remember who is an impediment to peace.

With the recent attacks on civilians, it is clear that having hope was foolish. Talks about talks mean nothing. We should reign in any semblance of hope until the Kremlin takes actual steps towards peace, and does more than just posturing. www.france24.com/en/europe/20...

A failed invasion was not enough. Russia continues to undermine global stability, doing everything it can short of armed conflict. Yet another reminder that the Kremlin is not interested in peace. www.dw.com/en/dutch-int...

Sure would have been nice if Russia had accepted a 30-day ceasefire. Too bad they didn't. ground.news/article/expl...

Ukraine has successfully destroyed Russia's 51st GRAU weapons arsenal near Moscow which contained 264,000 tons of munitions. Trump is now forcing on Ukraine an ultimatum that they must acknowledge Crimea as belonging to Russia or else they will abandon any support they still provide to Ukraine.

Unexpected. These recent headlines are starting to get my hopes up. www.themoscowtimes.com/2025/04/22/p...

Looks like everyone, even Russia, is signaling a desire for peace. Maybe we will see progress after all. financialpost.com/pmn/business...

I hope productive peace talks take place, but every precedent indicates this will likely not be the case. ground.news/article/puti...

A series of powerful explosions rocked Odesa. The city is under a massive attack by deadly Russian drones. A large fire is raging in one of the areas.

No justification for attacking civilians. Not everyone has a not-so-secret plain clothes police force.

They could've acceptrd the unconditional ceasefire from over a month ago. This was likely a ploy to pretend to want peace and place the blame on Ukraine.

If they really wanted peace, they'd go back to their own borders.

Shocking: the expected happened. If Russia truly wanted peace, they could have accepted the ceasefire when first proposed. Alternatively, they could return to their own country. This was likely just Putin trying to put the blame on Ukraine yet again. ground.news/article/east...

"We assume that thr Ukrainian side will follow our example". As in breaking the truce? Bombing civilians? Both? Or did he mean pretending there is a ceasefire while the war rages on?

Peace, but only.when he wants it. Wonder if they will actually honor the truce or break it (as per usual). www.dw.com/en/putin-dec...

Ukrainian troops reportedly control just one more village in southwestern Russia’s Kursk region.

"Peace deal on day 1. Unless it doesn't happen, in which case we give up". This is exactly what Russia wants. They've been waiting for, hoping for this since the very beginning. This will only encourage more civilian deaths. www.france24.com/en/video/202...

The country bombing civilians and imprisoning their young is surely the victim. Said no one ever. ground.news/article/the-...

Ukraine agrees to an inconditional ceasefire long ago. Russia has stalled for far too long, killing civilians all the while, yet they have faced no repercussions. www.france24.com/en/europe/20...
