The overlap between people who thought Elon Musk was lying about the viability of electric cars and people who think he's being totally truthful about the federal government demonstrates a level of rationalization and inconsistency I find impressive.

I also tried to see if AI would make a "R3X" style Rivian sedan. The results are a big less imaginative than I expected (hard to tell what the underlying car is that it used)... but I guess that's why Rivian is sticking with SUV/hatchbacks.

Interesting AI take on a Rivian sports car... but it shows a lack of understanding about the cooling needs of an EV -- those big rear haunch intakes on the blue one would be SO MUCH DRAG! But the nose translates lower better than expected... sorta NSX like.

As a side question... Has anyone come with an EASY way to find prior X contacts on BlueSky without diggin' and diggin' over on X to harvest random posts and links? I kinda want to keep the interesting folks I'd found but not give X the clicks-- at least for those who have "TRANSITIONED" (gasp)

Gotta start somewhere... So here's what I have handy: This is from Mt Rainier about two summers ago. We'd hiked some ridiculous distance/altitude all day and had just made it back to the visitor center and ice cream was the best value-for-money reward. Pretty much now you know me! 😆
