While I'm still firmly in the camp that Elon and Trump will make up sooner rather than later and nothing much will come of it; everyone who were loudly crying that the split was a "distraction" needs to answer for why the split was not announced yesterday instead of the middle of last week.

The idea that protesters in LA shouldn’t give him a pretext for violence presupposes that he needs or cares about a pretext. If you protesters stay home, then he’s going to keep kidnapping people and use the lack of protests as proof that everyone agrees with him.

there's a whole world out there of single-session run-based arcade games that it'll take you a good amount of attempts for your first clear and are meant to be replayed that aren't defined by pick-threes and randomized levels and frankly they're a lot more satisfying to beat

Somebody at Microsoft saw Nintendo put an $80 USD price tag on Mario Kart and thought "ah yes we can also do this with our strong IPs" so the first game they are doing this with is the sequel to a game most famous for its name being confused with an indie game that was actually popular.

Nope, 80 bucks is just too much, it's a bridge too far. I can't bring myself to accept that price point and I play games as a career. AAA games were already an occasional thing for me, the only game I paid 70 for in recent years was Metaphor and that was a very special exception. I can't justify 80

This is also true about the BBQ joint's actual building. It should be called, fairly "a joint". The tables should not match. It should be inside what was clearly like a Pizza Hut in a former life. If that BBQ place is in a nice building it just won't be as good.
