It is the 80th anniversary today of the liberation of Auschwitz. Four close family members—my grandfather, two aunts and a young uncle did not make it out. May their names ever be for a blessing!

Has anyone suggestions on fiction that deals with reconciliation? I’m especially interested in interpersonal reconciliation NOT necessarily books on indigenous/settler relations. Classic (i.e. old novels) wherein main characters clash and later restore relations are what I’m after. Thanks.

Once again Canada is eliminated from the World Junior Hockey medal round because of A) bad refereeing B) unfair or needless penalties C) the other team cheating D) Disproportionately bad luck Or any other feeble excuse —but never because the other team simply outplayed. 😆
