I'm in the people need to take action camp. So if this resonates I'm all for. That said, we also need to get organized and join durable political homes. So boycott AND join your local DSA, Indivisible, labor or tenant union, Sunrise chapter, AAUP, the Debt Collective, etc

another great example along with Wired and Teen Vogue of how real journalism these days can be a lot braver at outlets where no one is trying to get in good with the White House press secretary they’re out here with us, reporting on what’s happening to us all, instead of trying to get inside access

This morning, Leonard Peltier was released from over 49 years of wrongful incarceration. Peltier is an enrolled citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians and will reside on his Tribal homelands in North Dakota.

Now is a good time to rethink your emotional relationship to the state, if you haven't already. We are taught from birth to think of the state as the be all and end all for how we govern ourselves and allocate our resources. But there are other ways. It is time to emotionally distance.

a year ago 16-year-old Oklahoman Nex Benedict died after a bathroom beating. in the time since, we've lost more trans kids, while losing federal trans rights. how a community is holding itself together after years of living under Trump's current anti-trans policies at the state level @teenvogue.com

I'm so tired of this

A starter pack of groups directly providing & expanding access to free reading materials for incarcerated people. We're actively trying to find other Bluesky accounts in our community who migrated from Twitter, so let us know who we've missed! go.bsky.app/LW64Hb8

It's not enough for the State to criminalize being poor while rents go up: they also want to criminalize anyone who would act in solidarity with their neighbors, they're scared of people coming together against landlords and politicians.

I promise you all we have big things coming that I can't wait to update you all about but it's gonna take a couple weeks to get them all ironed out so please be patient as we keep working behind the scenes ❤️🖤

Boise Mutual Aid, Boise Kitchen Collective, and 2C Kitchen Collective are good examples of Boise (and 2C/Nampa) care work initiatives that are really inspiring and worth looking into and/or contributing to.

In preparation for today’s Super Bowl in New Orleans, state police forced over 100 homeless men and women onto buses under threat of arrest, dumping them in an unheated warehouse. Tents destroyed, belongings lost. Press are barred from the warehouse. The price tag for this cruelty? $17.5 million
