Don’t call yourself an ally. Don’t put it in your bio. Do the work of allyship. If you do not know what the work is, look it up or ask a trusted friend. Listen to what people in the affected group say. Be humble and prepared to be wrong. Expect nothing in return. Probably listen some more.
