thinking back about when I first went to grad school all like

This is so funny. Chris Murphy is a SENATOR. You FUCKING KEEP TELLING PEOPLE YOU CANNOT STOP THIS BILL. Shut the hell up. If people lose their health care, it has more to do your useless asses than a *made for Twitter* fight. Loser.

I'd be interested in reading something good on university boards of trustees as either reflecting long term changes in the attitudes of the very wealth and/or contributing to those changes. idk if that's really the case, but it feels like it is and I'd like to be better informed on it.

logging into any google product and trying not to use gemini:

If you make me president of your university, I will find millions in cost savings by force-quitting shady EdTech contracts, & I will spend it all by giving faculty an annual budget to buy course books for their students.

Outside immigration court in Chicago this morning, community rally in the rain in support of Ramon Morales-Reyes, a Milwaukee man snatched by ICE and accused of writing a letter threatening President Trump. There's just one problem: the letter was fake. Another man is now accused of forging it.

ICE arrested Columbia student Mahmoud Khalil without a warrant, the Trump admin admits—claiming “exigent circumstances.” Khalil, a green card holder, missed his son’s birth while detained. Critics call it retaliation for pro-Palestinian speech. www.cbsnews.com/news/mahmoud...

what if, instead and hear me out we abolished ICE entirely because at this point thats about as likely and would actually solve the problem

Anyway it's awesome that Biden increased police budgets by over $15 billion, I can't see how that could possibly backfire horribly in the exact ways we all predicted it would.

I think we’ve reached a boiling point when it comes to ICE. Today in Minneapolis, a militarized task force raided the beloved Lake Street taqueria, Las Cuatro Milpas—and the community was not having it. Agents from ICE, the DEA, FBI, ATF, IRS and HHS rolled up looking like they were ready for war.

gabba gabba hey

@nhold.bsky.social is too modest to self-promote his latest contribution to #LegalHistory and #InjuryStudies but since I am bound by no such norms I'll happily share it for all #HealthLaw scholars in particular #LaborHistory www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

This is how it’s done! FRIDAY: South Park, San Diego, neighbors weren’t having it. When ICE rolled up on an Italian restaurant in unmarked cars and started grabbing workers, the community hit the streets. (Sound up)

This is why people across the country need to remain engaged and not give up in the face of oppression

hey bluesky, the recent issue of ILWCH is full of stuff that looks great and also has something I wrote in it. you can check it out here if you like really excellent scholarship or things by me! www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

And the breakup continues

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health conducts critical research that workers rely on to stay safe on the job. But the Trump admin is gutting the agency, putting workers’ safety and health at risk. They must reinstate all NIOSH workers NOW!

South Park residents of San Diego, California, confront Trump’s ICE agents after they stormed a local Italian restaurant to detain staff. This is how fascism is resisted. Courageous citizens standing their ground against regime thugs sent to intimidate them. More of this, America!

Haven't they heard about the falling rate of profit? "Fortune 500 profits hit a record $1.87 trillion last year." fortune.com/2025/06/02/f...

The Brazilian's arrest sparked a massive protest on Sunday in the Boston suburb of Milford, where he lives, and a demand for information about the incident from Democratic Governor Maura Healey, who said she was "disturbed and outraged." www.reuters.com/world/us/top...
