The best thing about Bluesky, just like it used to be in the other place, is seeing people i follow because of one thing (food industry, beer, or something else niche) standing up and representing on the big political issues. Loving seeing so many US beer people with pics from yesterday. #nokings

I'm thousands of miles away in another country so I'm reluctant to play armchair general, but it seems to me that nightly protests outside every hotel that ICE use is a great tactic. No peace, no sleep for them, logistical headaches for the regime etc,. Hotel workers' union maybe can supply intel.

Table today complained that they had to wait "a whole quarter of an hour" for their three Sunday roasts to be served, and that their meals didn't contain a whole leg of lamb on each plate. I'm at a loss to respond.

kind of just endlessly sad and grieving that there are so few voices in the public sphere making the basic principled argument that immigration is an affirmative good in every way and the best way for this country to serve humanity is to welcome people who want or need to leave their homes

When and why did the Bluesky-verse decide that the replacement term for "tweet" was going to be "skeet" when "bleet" was right there?

Where's the heartbroken & furious emoji?

We can play football with a nation engaged in genocide. But we can't play football against trans people who have done nothing wrong. The Football Association is a disgrace.

@redsoxstats.bsky.social Another article on MLB.com this morning suggesting Devers might offer to play 1st to help the struggling club out. They're struggling in part because of losing Bregman which necessitates emergency action, calling up rookies, etc. So why is no-one suggesting Devers plays 3rd?

Tax wealth. Not work.

"at the same time"? Like, there's a text book on the handlebars? Chapeau!

It doesn't get reiterated enough that "human on a bicycle" is not only the most efficient way that a person can move, it's the most efficient form of motion ***ever observed in land animals***.
