I would be genuinely happy if the only, the *only* lesson the Dem establishment took from this was “yeet all dynasty candidates and everything/everyone associated with the Clinton Era into the sun”.

Feels like ranked choice was absolutely decisive in this race—not because of the vote count, but because of how it changed the incentives from zero-sum to cooperapetitive. It allowed a fractured left field to align organically through co-endorsements instead of falling into a circular firing squad.

Natsu Matsuri (Summer Festival) at the Venice Japanese Community Center is taking place once again this weekend. I signed up for my first class of getting back on the Japanese language horse 2 years ago at this very festival! I love volunteering and being a part of this community.

Holy shit, what a nostalgia bomb. I played the hell out of this game as a kid. Definitely burned into my brain permanently. This is a realtime segment, but I didn't remember how much of this game follows the "multimedia CD-ROM interactive diorama" format that I still constantly describe to people.

Ten years out, I feel just as confident as I did when I first heard it that Björk’s Vulnicura belongs in her S Tier alongside Vespertine and Homogenic (the record it is most similar to, imo). Utopia & Fossora still haven’t made their way into me. I put them both in C tier alongside Volta, sadly.
