5/5. A stone-cold Carpenter classic adapted from a stone-cold King classic. Incredible music, great cast, excellent cinematography & top-tier practical effects all coupled with some of JC's best music. One of the best 4k transfers I've seen & probably the best Carpenter transfer too. Check it out!

3.5/5. A beach slasher works! Nightmare Beach is a pretty good forgotten slasher with a solid cast, good cinematography & a classic late 80s rock soundtrack. Very good Studio Canal restoration restoration on the Kino disc, but no HDR or DV. You could do worse if you are in the mood for Saxon!

A nice little whodunit with plenty of red herrings and twists and turns. Great music. Less gore and nudity than I expected. A damn fine 4k restoration too 🤌🏻. I truly love that boutique labels put so much time and love into niche movies like this.

4/5 for baghead Jason! I always liked the characters & kills in part 2. For the curious, this is a SIGNIFICANTLY better UHD than Part 1. Transfer is fantastic, grain is about perfect, good HDR. I'd absolutely pick up the entire series on 4k at this rate. I assume they're all coming, eventually 🫠🤷🏻‍♂️
