Rep. Fallon on cutting food stamps: "We have a message for those kind of folks: If you're able-bodied and you want to milk the taxpayer, those days are over. What’s crazy to me is these big chains that go “oh, we don’t have a political stance on anything” while you watch their marketing literally move toward a more conservative audience. Not surprised, just disappointed. Kind of the theme for 2025.

Republicans aren’t hiding anything. Their priorities are written in black and white: trillions of dollars in tax breaks to the rich, while making savage cuts to Medicaid, housing, nutrition and education. The reconciliation bill will make the rich even richer and the poor poorer.

Y’all, please be extra aware of the fact that the government is trying to freeze funds for WIC. Please make sure you are donating plenty of items to food banks if you have the means. Make sure you’re extra kind to moms because some of them may be starving for their children.

When someone puts their life on the line to defend this country in uniform, we in turn, promise them health care after their service. Trump froze all hiring at the VA at a time when the VA is experiencing a shortage of doctors & nurses. Unacceptable. Our veterans deserve better.
