!HEY! - Brits... yeah, YOU... So... they privatised Thames Water in 1989, at which time it had ZERO debt - not a penny. Over the next three and a half decades it got £14.7 billion in to debt - but also paid £10.4 billion to shareholders. Just let that sink in (much like the turds in the river...)
