Locked Tomb brain rot ftw

New video up on my YouTube channel. The channel is fairly new so I’m still learning how everything works. Be gentle with me lol youtu.be/247CPW7c8Jc?...

When I say I think about The Locked Tomb series all the time, I’m not joking. I just sent this text to my best friend because I literally can’t concentrate because I’m thinking about Gideon and Harrow.

After several conversations with different people lately, I just wanna say one thing: being in a blue state will mean absolutely nothing if a federal book banning law is put in place, or any over arching federal law for that matter.

Reading 1984 and seeing the similarities between it and the current reality of what’s going on in America is absolutely terrifying. We’re in the bad timeline 😭

Every time I read Gideon the Ninth I’m never prepared for Gideon’s death and it kills me each time. And the scene with Harrow afterwards. Ugh! I am UNWELL!!!

I started scanning my books into Libib. Just finished scanning my first bookcase and it contained 237 books. This doesn’t include my other two bookcases and all the books spread out throughout the various rooms, nooks and crannies in my apartment 🥲 I might have an issue when it comes to book 😅🙃😁😂

Just rechecked my 2024 music stats and apparently I listened to the Arcane album so much in December that it dethroned the Take Me Back to Eden album as my top album of the year 😅 it also kicked two artists out of my top 5 for the year 😅

I always set my reading goal to be this low because I know myself. I tend to do most of my reading during the fall and winter months with only a few books here or there in the spring and summer months. The hours and pages goals are set by multiplying the average length of a book or audiobook by 12.

Currently at Kia for an oil change and everyone here is reading while they wait (including myself) and I love that for them (and for myself lol)

Fun facts! Even if you don’t plan to use it, having a library card helps secure funding for your local library which in turn keeps them open and thriving for the entire community. Every library card is a good library card!

I used to be someone who never DNF’d a book. Now I’ll DNF a book after 3 chapters if something gives me the ick. And honestly, I love that for myself.

Find us on Fable and join the club 😁

Welp, I already soft DNF’d The King which has never happened before as I adore this series and the Brothers. But in all fairness, I haven’t read any of the books past Lover at Last which came out in 2013. Maybe I’ll try again in the future (probably not). Onwards to other books! Allons-y!

I started The King tonight and there’s a part in chapter 1 that doesn’t sit well with me. The reader is in Beth’s POV and she’s talking as if she’s one of the Brothers. Obviously she’s changed since Dark Lover but it’s allegedly only a 2 year gap. Would her speech patterns really change that much?

I hate when I start reading a book only to learn it’s 5th in a series (not stated anywhere on the book) especially when it’s drawn me in but not much makes sense because the author is relying on the reader having read the other 4 books and already having all the background info 😤😖

Some things in Lover at Last by JR Ward that makes me go FERAL (in no particular order)

I am vehemently against book banning and will literally fight anyone who tries to get books banned. Access to books, the right and ability to read books, being able to choose books by authors or with characters that are from minority groups is deeply political and to say otherwise is asinine.

My reactions to Lover At Last by JR Ward so far. This is a re-read. I love this book.

I don’t know what I’m doing here but welcome to whatever chaos goblin mode endeavors I decide to post. I do book reviews and whatever other content I feel like posting.
