I’m inspired by the words of @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social, the winner of last night’s mayoral primary election in New York City. Our system may be under attack by Big Money and demagogues, but let his victory serve as a reminder that power belongs to the people.

Pretty funny that the Border Patrol deciding to stop off in the Dodgers parking lot for a few minutes* led directly to the Dodgers donating $1,000,000 to immigrant families impacted by ICE. *as they suggested they were doing, but there’s no way to confirm or reason to trust them automatically.

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.
