Not that I'm behind the curve at all but finally caught up with Adolescence. Blisteringly good performances and some beautifully scripted family dynamics but I could absolutely have lived without the sub-Grange Hill episode 2.

fact of the day via Sunday Times: “This was the first time the Conservatives had not won a majority on a single council since the local government system was created in 1889.”

I was totally fascinated by this story as a kid (randomly had a version in a big Disney book). Any excellent read as always...

Saddened to learn of Jean Marsh's passing. Willow, Frenzy, and the Changeling are all favorites, but Marsh as the nightmarish Mombi in Return to Oz lives rent free in my mind.

Rather enjoyable article about the world's oldest breweries www.thedrinksbusiness.com/2025/04/top-...

Did not have money on seeing a sparrow hawk having dinner in Leith today.

Trump is truly like an old-school chess grandmaster. He understands his best chance of winning is to have a powerful team of Russians controlling every move.

Anyway, morning all!
