Prolific Poster

Good advice from 1945. Poster by Albert Dorne. I'm not much of a traveller, but back when this poster was made it was of course meant to keep people from using up valuable resources & put a strain on the system in time of war. The framed photo suggests the man's son might be a soldier oversees.

My painting LOST COAST

Man I’m just so fucking proud of all the people who didn’t give up and aren’t going to give up

Today is apparently International Crow and Raven Appreciation Day so I thought I'd re-share some #JapaneseArt featuring these beautiful birds. 🖤

I posted a feed ID with the name SecUnit, gender = not applicable, and no other information.

Hello! I like you! From I am a Kitten by Ole Risom, illustrated by Jan Pfloog. 1970.

The SecSystem tried to block ART and I quickly put up a wall and deleted its memory of the contact. (ART really did not care to be challenged by other resident systems and I didn’t want the friendly SecSystem deleted.)

Okay everyone, pay attention. Cancel all your plans, sell all your belongings and kidneys, we're going to need to buy this castle and start an unhealthy gothic sort of Victorian cult. Yes, I will be wearing my absinth dress and sit on a throne a lot. www.realportico.com/property/pol...

Mensah had seen me when she signed the rental contract. But she had barely looked at me and I had barely looked at her because again, murderbot + actual human = awkwardness.

Pin-Lee had promised, “Don’t worry, I’ll preserve your right to wander off like an asshole anytime you like.”) (I said, “It takes one to know one.”)

The module clicked into place and I had a moment of purely irrational fear. ART must have picked up on it because it said, Please, my MedSystem makes no mistakes.

I have never felt so understood in my life 😂

(Caption says) this is an RKO publicity photo of Orson Welles at home in 1941 after he completed CITIZEN KANE.

I started to say that they never used SecUnits for espionage, and then realized I didn’t actually know that for sure.

Wooo boy. You don’t ever want to see headlines with Great Depression comparisons.

Steel Claw versus the March of Gorillas is what Easter is all about.

ART said, I want an apology. I made an obscene gesture at the ceiling with both hands. (I know ART isn’t the ceiling but the humans kept looking up there like it was.) ART said, That was unnecessary.

I went to the Tate Modern yesterday. In the Rothko room with all the Serious Art Connoisseurs there was a ~5 year old kid who walked up to each painting, pointed at it and shouted 'RECTANGLE' at each one in turn, then left the room.

Some ukiyo-e woodblock print humour in the form of a rabbit by Utagawa Hiroshige, circa 1841. #JapaneseArt #ukiyoe

The Hare of Inaba is a Japanese folktale about a young man named Okuninushi who joined his brothers in a quest to win the love of a princess. It's definitely a tale of the underdog triumphing, with the added bonus of a cute white rabbit. Link to the full tale👇 #WyrdWednesday #JapaneseFolklore 1/2

(I knew of forty-seven ways that ART could kill a human, augmented human, or bot intruder, and the only reason I didn’t know more is because I got bored and stopped counting.)

Let's learn about the Wonky Wolf of Leeds. Discovered 1840 in Aldborough, North Yorkshire, the mosaic dates to ~300 AD & probably represents a Roman provincial artist's attempt to tell the story of Romulus and Remus being suckled by a she-wolf, the founding myth of Rome.

I could only last so long like this. I needed to move faster.

I felt like I was at least one if not two points up on Station Security at this moment and I wanted to keep it that way.

anyway good night

I feel like panicking and I was not in control of this situation and I could see at least ten instances now where I’d made wrong decisions and being in control of the situation was really important because otherwise it was in control of me

I have extracted living clients from situations that were less than nine percent survivable. I’m more than qualified to make that call.

I’d given a tiny piece of myself away. That can’t happen. I have too much to hide, and letting one piece go means the rest isn’t as protected.
