near illiberalism. I used to be a lawyer. I still am one, but I also used to be one. better things are in fact possible. The most effective liberals have been terrified of losing to radicalism.

Every college/university with a large endowment should be reaching out to donors and asking them to temporarily unrestrict their donations

What a waste of our nation’s most beautifully Soviet building

The throughline between Elon’s turn on climate change and his IVF mania is Mars. He wants to accelerate the urgency of traveling there, the radiation of which will ruin his already weird testicles.

This is all good and well, but what happens to our government when Elon fires the Legislative Acronymist?

Who’s got the goods on next Pope speculation?

These pollsters never ask people if they’re concerned about their yachts. Many of us are concerned about our yachts.

The student who ripped this sign down did more for trans people than most of our politicians.

what, was the boy supposed to wait for the DOJ investigation to start?

good fucking lord

Trump might actually be a good negotiator at one-shot games, but he doesn’t know what repeat games are. For this, I blame everyone who has extended him credit since 1988.

Dhzokar Tsarnaev biopic starring Timothee Chalamet when?

there were girls that did this for Dhzokar Tsarnaev. One should expect thousands of times as many for Luigi.

Michigan JD Frog

I bet Incitatus was a more present father than Elon

There should be stockpiles of everything that can be stockpiled (and of decent stockpileable substitutes for things that can’t be stockpiled)

It’s time for the Milk Hotel to choose a side

Elon’s 13th child is alarming to anyone who grew up in Jersey and was taught about Mother Leeds

The actual Limitless is having unmediated ADHD and noticing everything around you. And there being no limit on how many of those things you fail to react to in any sustained manner.

Why am I disappointed? I abhor human suffering, but apparently less so if we all experience it equally.

Marko and Nikhil working side by side. Love to see a member of my community abase himself for a sense of belonging that they will never truly grant him.

So Elon’s a government official now? What role?

sucks for everybody who thought she was a new woman after yesterdays presser, sucks for everyone in NYC, sucks for rule of law

If you buy an EV, you have to claim the tax credit. If you lease an EV, you get the $7500 off and they have to claim the credit. To the extent that’s on the dealership rather than manufacturer LeaseCo, a key GOP demographic will howl if the credit is canceled.

Howard Lutnick, Trump’s billionaire buddy turned commerce secretary, has confirmed that the administration was simply lying to MAGA supporters about not touching Social Security and Medicare.

I do think there’s a big self-selection for certain identities on here and on the left, but even still, statistically, there’s a fair amount of identity grifting on here. Which is unsurprising given the incentives (who gets to talk, who should he listened to)

Judges can’t stop all this fast enough, they might no be heeded. Elon’s position needs to forcibly clarified, a TRO needs to be imposed on him acting at all, contempt charges and an arrest order. Constitutional crisis is already happening, why slow-roll it.

So many people I’ve talked to expressing a desire to respond to this moment with violence, but nowhere to direct that energy (except occasional protests), aware of how incapable they are acting on it. Maybe just the male version of this frustration, male-brain mediated angry near-hopelessness.

Europe’s Biggest Squanderable Opportunity

Childhood trauma? Elon is getting closer and closer to understanding himself.

We were promised flying cars and all we got was flying cars and 300 characters. We can get rid of Peter Thiel now. youtu.be/8v-myq1Btjg?...

Targeting the “liberal” agencies but also fucking up the other agencies too. That’s bipartisanship baby.

What’s happening with the US government reminds me of this story (great book btw): Libertarians took over a town in NH in 2004 and gutted its services, cut taxes, etc. Less than 8 yrs later things had gotten so bad that black bears were breaking into homes and killing people for the first time ever.
