So many interesting things going on in this landscape and it’s a block from where I live.

Golibar Slum Rehabilitation #1; Mumbai, 2011. This isn’t an example of urban decay, it’s a government demolition of an informal community.

First the tech industry took control of the flow of information. Now it’s taking control of, well, seemingly everything. What can possibly go wrong?

New Market #1, Dhaka. 2013.

LA River X started on Instagram and is flowing over to Bluesky. It's an experiment (isn't everything). It's good to see you here. Be sure to tell your friends!

Demolition of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino; Atlantic City, New Jersey. 2020.

DTLA recently…

If you love photography you should check out this list put together by @flakphoto.news! bsky.app/profile/flak...

God, Love & Hope in Los Angeles.

I plan to curate a list of #photo people — Not a starter pack, a list. This way, you can pin the list to your feed and follow #photographers in a custom feed on Bluesky. It should be a nice way to find new people when you log on. Drop me a line if you want me to add you. Please RT. Thank you!

Who are your favorite Bluesky #photographers? I'm still planning to make a @flakphoto.news starter pack to complement my Photo People list and would love suggestions. Thanks in advance!✌️✨

A house in Las Vegas from a few years ago.

Anyone still here?

Social media strategy in the age of Threads, Twitter and Bluesky.

Hotel curtains in Rochester, NY, 2022

Flowers in a restaurant window in Chinatown, Philadelphia.

Home 1; Atlantic City, NJ.

Highrise 1, Xi'an, China.

View of the Huaycán Zona Z community on the outskirts of Lima, Peru. The once-rural area is now home to a rapidly-expanding network of informal settlements.

A photograph from my project on daily life in Cuba.

Hard to believe that 20 years ago, give or take a few days, a reporter and I were loading up some Suburbans for the long drive from Amman to Baghdad to cover the American-led war in Iraq. I still believe that #photojournalism is not dead.

Lallubhai Compound Resettlement Buildings; Mankhurd, Mumbai, 2011. This is where the government puts people after demolishing their informal homes. It’s a very oppressive place.

LA From Afar

One of my favorite photographs from Future Cities. I love that what appears to be super chaotic is in fact highly organized and efficient.

Archie’s current situation.
