The Last 10 Comics I've Read

The Last 10 TV Episodes I've Watched

You know you're watching a classic of cinema when Claudette Colbert suddenly eats a whole wad of onions behind Gary Cooper's back.

On The File Room this week we discuss “Apocrypha”, a great conclusion to one of the best Mythology stories The X-Files ever did. We also talk about Walton Goggins for unrelated reasons. open.spotify.com/episode/6nHG...

So Parasite is indeed amazing, Gold Diggers of 1933 is bubbly fun with occasional jaw-dropping abstract bursts, and both Dunwich Horror and 825 Forest Road are flat duds with good actors struggling to carry them.

I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH THAT THIS… …IS THE GREATEST PODCAST IN RECORDED HISTORY!!! My entire podcasting career led to this moment. Nine excellent podcasters in a room and magic happened. MAGIC HAPPENED.

Halfway thru hauling a daily tote of dvds and paperbacks to the new apartment. My goal is to clear my shelves by next week, then hire movers to move the shelves. (Shush, it makes sense in my head.)

3 stars. The screenplay for Better Man is fine and interesting, but also an example of how a visual and music driven film is hard to convey on the page, so I understand the writers glossing over a lot of that detail and keeping it simple.

Episode 212: Cleaner / A Face in the Crowd / Mickey 17 Dearest listeners -- WE HAVE CAUGHT UP! Today we bring you our most recent joys, cinematic and otherwise, from distressingly hot young Walter Matthau to novel uses for Australian cookies! Movies mentioned: Cleaner A Face in the Crowd Mickey 17…

I keep neglecting to plug the Doctor Who podcast I'm on. Our irregular release schedule has been a factor. Also laziness. Anyway, here's the latest episode. We discuss Marco Polo, Meglos, and say goodbye to Joshua. getoffmyworldpodcast.com/2025/04/epis...

Ultraman Rising is a blast, deftly merging the toku iconography with the American style of smirky cartoons about family. Great cast, syrikingly well animated. I laughed, I cheered, I cried. I absolutely recommend it, whether you're a fan of the franchise or not.

More Destination Moon set photos (also by Allan Grant, I believe), but this time - it probably seemed like a good idea - of two dancers adding drama to the grandeur of our fake moon set
