Unsure what to think of the fact that the main anti-LLM scraping tool that FOSS projects are using to reduce traffic is being developed by someone who has no issue using generative AI to add images to their blog. It just strikes me as kinda disingenuous, that's all.

Let's be brutally honest here: The internet archive is great on the whole. But not perfect. For example, their "emergency library" thing cost then some goodwill and incurred legal risk that jeopardized the whole project. Every host is failible. Decentralization is key.

I don't know how else to say this: wikipedia doesn't need your money. They can run the site for several decades without getting a single cent from you. Don't donate to them just because a certain billionaire dislikes them. Spend it on some other charity for a thing he hates instead.

Fallout's aesthetic can largely be credited to Leonard Boyarsky, art director of the original title. Boyarsky cites The Road Warrior, The City of Lost Children, Brazil and the comic series Hard Boiled as his main influences for Fallout. I haven't read Hard Boiled but the inspiration seems clear.
