Today's secret word is...

Apparently, footage of the new Travis Knight directed Masters of the Universe movie was shown this week and it looks great. Am I excited? Naaahhh...not at all. I love this stuff so much - I've collected a few things over the years ... this is maybe half of it. ha. Let's go!

One of the little joyful distractions I’ve rediscovered this year is Lego, and it’s been so fun to put all my fav characters into scenes together. Here’s He-Man, Link, and a boatload of castle and D&D guys on a quest. I am a nerd - one of the good ones, I hope.

AI is a great tool to supercharge a worker, but that benefit is negated by companies using it to replace the work of many. Capitalism dictates lowering overhead to increase profits, and they do that by having one person with AI do the job of 5. Tech lays off 1000s of people every year to do that.

Jack Black on SNL made me so very happy.

Born and raised in MS, and I've spent a ton of time in Louisiana. This game really does capture something special in its Southern Gothic themes. There's a lot of beauty in land and art there, but also an old darkness in the swamp and cluttered decay. Nails it. If u have GamePass, I recommend it.

The tornado of stupidity unleashed on "Liberation Day" will mean we buy less crap we don't need. That's the only positive I can find. Problem is that millions will have less money to buy things. What happens to the economy when people just stop spending and no one is importing our goods? It craters.

Trad Dems don't want to hear it, but Bernie was the answer to Trump's populism. The Dems are so certain that socialism can't work that they ignore that in most of the world, socialism is the party for working-class people's rights. What we call "the left" is basically the center-right in Europe.

This isn't a shocking list if you've been paying attention. Still, seeing it compiled in this way paints a bleak picture. It's the erasure of entire swaths of people, and those represented on this list who actually voted for Trump should be getting a real wake-up call.

Who's thirsty?

Been predicting this one for a while.

The pause in fighting gave Gaza’s children a brief chance to heal. In six weeks, Save the Children delivered lifesaving aid to 51,000 people. Now, that aid is blocked, and violence has resumed—putting children in grave danger. Denying aid is a death sentence. We must demand action.
