I'm an elderly woman living in Mississippi. MAGA is an infection in need of a cure. I have rescue cats and two rescue dogs. Lotta love here. I play ESO with my daughter, and COD Zombies with my husband and son. I quilt, & knit.

Turning the strongest military in the world into a Silicon Valley Egypt

Early in the war, Ukrainian officials were ecstatic to welcome Elon Musk's "help." Now Trump/Musk appear to be using Starlink as part of the US scheme to secure a quid pro quo for Ukraine's survival. Our allies should take note that it appears our only principle is truly "America First."

US officials are reportedly threatening to revoke Starlink access for Ukraine if they don’t give us 50% of their mineral rights. That’s not diplomacy, it’s extortion. We’re also pushing them to kill a UN Resolution that blames Russia for starting the war. Facts matter.

DOGE’s expenses have risen above 40 million, with weekly costs now exceeding 10 million. We will release an updated DOGE staff list soon.

There are 3 special elections coming up and those 3 seats are the keys to stopping the Congressional Republicans doing Trump & Musk’s evil bidding. We need just 1 seat to block them, 2 seats to stop them, and with all 3 we can FLIP THE HOUSE. Join us!! Monday 2/24 @7:30 EST. 👇👇 mobilize.us/s/Y9NrBb

Emperor?!

Last night's Pentagon massacre is much more than realized. Not just firing the black CJCS and first woman CNO but all the senior JAG officers and hiring a man who just joined 3 different crypto firms tied to Kushner and Thiel as Chairman. I did a deep dive into it open.substack.com/pub/fpwellma...

KANSAS: Rep. Tracey Mann is the latest to hear about how Republicans are abdicating their responsibilities at a town hall. (Tennessee folks — town halls are where elected officials show up and you can ask them questions in person. Other states have those, believe it or not)

Looking like a dork aside, hurting grandma, the economy, and the military without much thought is definitely peak MAGA.

This is why JD Vance was in Europe claiming that the US values free speech. It is part of the imperial project to force Europe to allow Nazi incitement like the US allows.

Shoutout to the dozens of Montana Indivisibles who didn’t let the weather stop them from demanding answers from their GOP representative! This congressional recess is almost over, but you can still help turn up the heat on your representative to stop the Trump-Musk coup: indivisible.org/muskorus

DOGE’s Only Public Ledger Is Riddled With Mistakes The figures from Elon Musk’s team of outsiders represent billions in government cuts. They are also full of accounting errors, outdated data and other miscalculations. nyti.ms/4i1ril4

If this is the level of reckless sloppiness and shoddy work that is now taking over our government, do you trust them to keep our food safe, our airplanes from crashing, and our towns warned in advance and protected when tornadoes are coming? www.politico.com/news/2025/02...

“This is a playbook that Musk has run before. [Twitter] lost an estimated 72 percent of its value from what Musk paid for it. Is that the fate that we are comfortable with for our federal government?”@nschneidman.bsky.social told the @washingtonpost.com

First, I know Glenn. He’s a mental zombie. Awful human being. Liar. Shill. The other cat seems to be his intellectual twin. These are all liars. Sociopaths only feel pain.

Folks are asking, “what should I do in this moment?” One of the most passionate, progressive voices in Congress for 30 years, Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden answers that question. Here’s our conversation, inside a replica of the Senate chamber at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute: youtu.be/n_nQ-Moa9fI?...

The most egregious DEI hire in the history of the U.S.

Whether or not the J6 choir ends performing there or not, it is time to boycott the Kennedy Center. It is now a purely political enterprise having been hijacked to support an anti-democracy, white supremacist, anti-American agenda. Attending and supporting the institution is aiding that agenda.

Where is DOGE for this shit? $200 million on a propaganda campaign? www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

Everything that doesn’t involve white men is “woke”.

Since taking office, Trump has been trying to advance the unitary executive theory, a fringe legal theory that asserts that the president has unlimited power to control the actions of the four million people who make up the executive branch.

Alina Habba, who is ostensibly a lawyer, claims on Fox & Friends that Trump "made the law" with his executive orders (executive orders are not laws -- only Congress can make laws)

Musk took over the US government with graft and is using it—in combination with his space launch firm—to exploit an allied country that’s suffering under Russian invasion for its mineral rights. The scheme is so imperiously evil I feel like audiences wouldn’t find it believable in a Bond villain.

It gets more disturbing by the hour www.cnn.com/2025/02/21/p...

"Hard to imagine a more unconstitutional order": Mississippi judge orders newspaper to take down editorial criticizing local mayor and city council. @AnneBranigin.bsky.social www.washingtonpost.com/style/media/...

I guess that’s why Vietnam went so well for us. “Firepower advantage.”

Which would you rather have: functioning air traffic control & cancer research OR $400+ million in CyberTruck orders & $200+ million ad campaign idolizing Trump? Musk/Trump are not saving US money, they are reallocating it to themselves at a great cost to US.

Wait. It gets worse: "The new document states that the revenues will be directed to a fund in which the United States holds 100 percent financial interest, and that Ukraine should contribute to the fund until it reaches $500 billion....The US has allocated $119 billion for aid to Ukraine."

“Russia is not a country forged by shared values, common beliefs or a unifying purpose — it is an empire assembled by force, bound together by lies and sustained through the theft of other peoples’ art, culture and history.” thehill.com/opinion/inte...

Don’t be a nice person…

Seven historians talk to Rolling Stone about how "unprecedented" Trump's actions are. One month into the tumultuous second MAGA administration, parallels to past regimes have already emerged.

Kudos to GOP Senator Thom Tillis for calling out Trump’s dangerous policy of surrendering to war criminal Putin. Now, he and other pro-Ukraine Republicans should start using their power as U.S. senators to restrain Trump as much as possible.

From Bad to Worse: Pentagon's Friday Night Massacre; and Trump Pushes Putin's Wars This video evaluates the disastrous Pentagon firings, politicization of the military and filling the ranks with Trump loyalists, and Trump delaying the end of the Russia-Ukraine war. open.substack.com/pub/alexande...

Nothing says you’re a good steward of taxpayer money like bricking thousands of EV chargers that were installed at taxpayer expense for no reason other than that you hate EVs

Just recorded a podcast with @samsteindc.bsky.social on the military purge. Should be up soon. We try to explain the broader significance of replacing these senior military officers: Trump wants to break all institutional constraints at the power agencies, and secure personal fealty to him.

Peter Thiel, speaking last summer about the 2024 election: “I think [Trump] will win quite solidly. .. And after he wins, there’ll be a lot of buyer’s remorse.” @cnbc.com youtu.be/lsF55wo49Ew?...

Leaders of the Social Security Administration had just opened an investigation into a career employee they believed was improperly sharing information with DOGE when Trump elevated the employee this week to acting commissioner www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

President Trump’s purge at the Pentagon is a major step toward creating an officer corps personally and absolutely loyal to him, @radiofreetom.bsky.social writes. theatln.tc/3oq1fmSh

“That is why Trumpists are so focused on “ending DEI” in the federal workforce. They see anti-discrimination and inclusion as a ladder of upward mobility for people they do not believe should have one.”

But of course!

At what point do leaders in the GOP band together (since they seem to lack courage individually) & say enough is enough? The party of Reagan becomes the tool of Putin if they don’t, especially after last night.

We NEED @blakegendebien.bsky.social to win. This is an all hands situation.

The attacks on DEI are a pretext for a much more radical agenda of reversing the gains of the civil rights movement, an objective the Trump administration is pursuing with zeal. A Great Resegregation. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

No doubt last night’s purge reflects racism and misogyny. But those wrongs are just a cover for the far more serious evils and dangers that exist here.
