This is honestly a great idea. There should be a more explicit system of accountability for refs, including suspensions, fines, etc. Players work very hard to be good at their jobs, and suffer the consequences if they don't. Refs should be treated no differently.

Cutter Gauthier is totally allowed to do whatever he wants, but it's simply not credible for him to pretend that he has no idea what this is about. The narrative is, in fact, completely within his control, and he could put this to rest in 30 seconds if he decided to do so.
