This sentence, typed in her dissent, should scare the living fuck out of everyone in this country. "This Supreme Court is an existential threat to the rule of law." – Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson

This

Every major health system in Louisiana is warning Speaker Mike Johnson and the rest of the state’s congressional delegation that the Senate GOP’s planned Medicaid cuts “would be historic in their devastation.”

He’s baaaaack!

If the Supreme Court thinks universal injunctions are unconstitutional, to wait until *now* to say that, in this of all cases, with this of all presidents, is a devastating indictment of both its impartiality and its prudence.

“No right is safe in the new legal regime the Court creates.” –Justice Sonia Sotomayor. One of the most chilling sentences I have ever read.

Justice Sotomayor dissenting on birthright citizenship case: "The gamesmanship in this request is apparent and the Government makes no attempt to hide it. Yet, shamefully, this Court plays along. Because I will not be complicit in so grave an attack on our system of law, I dissent."

Damn‼️ Federal agents blew a door off for this? Federal agents blasted their way into an LA home where Jenny Ramirez lives with her boyfriend and two kids. She heard the blast while checking on her 6-year-old, with her 1-year-old in her arms. Ramirez says everyone in the home is a U.S. citizen. 🧵

“The soft power suicide of the U.S. will be incomprehensible to future historians who will be dumbfounded in their attempts to explain why the global leader voluntarily wrecked one of its greatest national assets...” www.nytimes.com/2025/06/24/b...

If you need a mask to enforce the law, you don’t deserve a badge. Federal agents are snatching people off the streets—faces covered, names hidden. This isn’t safety. It’s secrecy. It’s not America. adamkinzinger.substack.com/p/why-are-fe...

They’re planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida. If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.

To those who weren’t born yet or those like me who didn’t remember, this is why we have the EPA.

A great point about those um sleeper cells is that now any terrorist can just dress up as ICE and walk straight into any building, even federal buildings and boom. And it’s all because ICE refuses to identify themselves or take off their masks.

Today marks the third anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. What's happened since? A record number of women have been prosecuted. Pregnancy loss is now considered extremely suspicious, even when it has nothing to do with abortion.

Situation: THOUSANDS of people are simply missing from society, disappeared without a trace. SCOTUS: Due process? Process, shmacess

We are posting this placard at all of our offices and asking our union contract farms to post as well. We encourage our friends to put up similar placards at their business as immigration agents do not have the right to go on private property without permission.

It's this simple: If you arrest people without charge, sentence them without due process, deport them from their own country and imprison them without chance of appeal or freedom, whhat you've really done is put them in a concentration camp and made them a slave.

UPDATE: “The man who impersonated ICE to intimidate the employees of a Philly auto repair center — and steal about $1,000 — will face numerous felony and misdemeanor charges…”: www.phillyvoice.com/philly-robbe... Fake ICE agents were inevitable. How can cities be proactive about this?

I really wonder whether Stephen Miller's working the judges has finally broken them down.

They’re assaulting the mothers and fathers of US soldiers. Roving gangs of masked men grab human beings off the street. They send them without due process to prisons in countries they’re not even from where they are then sold into slavery. Make it stop!!!

Well, gosh, whoda thunk

There are many cases where the president doesn’t need to go to Congress, which is why presidents for many years have not gone to Congress. This case was not one of them.

CARTOON OF THE DAY… 🇺🇸

This is the kind of excessive force case DOJ routinely prosecutes. They should open an investigation here, based on the misconduct not the victims status.

If you were too young in 2003 here is what Bush told the American people: 1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money 3) We won’t need a lot of troops 4) We’ll bring peace and freedom to Iraq 5) We’ll find WMDs 6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators 7) It will be easy 8) It won’t take long All lies.

Meanwhile, the federal government of the United States of America is hard at work hunting down and arresting random beloved local bagel shop managers. Neighbors and friends respond: pix11.com/news/local-n...

Take note.

no accidents

Someone asked me today about my plans for the Fall and it took me a moment to realize she meant my plans for the Autumn and not the collapse of civilization.

Instead of CUTTING Social Security benefits, Congress should INCREASE payments by $200 per month and extend the solvency of the Social Security program by 75 YEARS. How? Make the wealthiest Americans pay a fairer share. I’ve got a bill to get it done.

The right wing and Fox launched a smear campaign against Newsom. In the past, he might’ve ignored it—but he’s seen how right-wing trolls work with Fox to create false narratives. So this time, Newsom responded immediately. No hesitation.

⚡️Death toll in Russia's mass strike on Kyiv rises to 30 dead, 172 wounded. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the updated casualty figures from Russia's large-scale drone and missile attack during his evening address on June 19.

Wild how the Fed chair saying that *entire regions of the United States* won’t be able to get a mortgage in the next decade barely registered as a news event

That’s exactly what this is about. Distraction. For all of this and that lame duck, low energy spectacle

Always.

It is extraordinarily weird watching him conveying a single, cohesive thought for more than five seconds here. It really does show you that, while his heart as always been several shades deeper than vantablack, there's something medically wrong with his brain at this point.

"It's bullshit," Gov. Hochul says of the arrest of NYC Comptroller Brad Lander by ICE. She says she will call him when he's out of detention. "But what about all the people who don't have that high profile position?"

Padilla: I was forced to the ground, first on my knees and then flat on my chest. And as I was handcuffed and marched down a hallway repeatedly asking, why am I being detained? Not once did they tell me why. I pray you never have a moment like this

Reagan appointee rules against NIH #DEI cuts: “'I have never seen racial discrimination by the government like this,' in his 40 years on the bench, he said, to which there was an audible gasp in the courtroom." www.statnews.com/2025/06/16/n...
