Rained again for the first time in months; I don't have to be paranoid about red flag warnings/brush fires/every siren being a firetruck anymore. I'm free. 3 weeks ago there were 2 fires blazing next (<.5 miles) to me within 3 days. I was this close to having to evacuate. Never again.

Watched Borderline (Eric Dane, Samara Weaving, Alba Baptista) and it was surprisingly solid. The last 3 minutes of the movie were the best I've seen recently. No dialogue at all, just magic. I googled the actor and it was Ray Nicholson. Yes, Jack Nicholson's son. He stole the show.

Sad to see Max go out like this. In retrospect, combining Cartoon Network, TLC/Discovery (garbage), and HBO (prestige) inevitably only alienates the prestige audience. Worse when you realize they pulled shows to make space for it. The masses yearn for an HBO (and animation) only streaming platform.

I bought my cat an orthopedic cat bed (he's OLD!) in August thinking he would use it in the winter because it's fluffy + warm, but he stopped using it when it got < 60 and has only now started using it again. It is his summer/fall + spring bed, but not winter, apparently.
