Law has never been “real.” Law is, (and has always been) about power, relationships, and people’s beliefs in structure. And I’ll be damned if I let people give up to the nihilist vision of Trump without fighting for the ideal of a nation of laws. The game is not over yet. Stop despairing and fight.

I was just at a work meeting. We talked about all the forms of imm relief that will almost undoubtedly disappear during Trump 2.0. TPS, med DA, DACA, and SIJ deferred action. Rendering lots of people into "illegals" with a wave of his tiny little hands, all bc ppl were mad about the price of gas

It is so insanely telling that no one bothers running around telling Republicans to be nice to Democrats even when they beat us.

MAKE THIS MAN VICE PRESIDENT, AMERICA

I'm sorry but if you're out here saying to trust women on women's issues and trust Black people when it comes to Black people's issues, I don't think you can in good faith be out here questioning Tucker Carlson on demons

Compassion for Trump voters is them getting to participate in a free society and strong economy under President Harris. They won’t be arrested. Their businesses won’t be penalized. Their states won’t be deprived of resources. All things that Trump has RUN ON doing to us. That’s compassion.

Fellas is it gay to *checks notes* date Taylor Swift

What good is having "fuck you" money if the people who have it are too scared to say "fuck you" to anyone?

Democracy dies through dipshits

Hot on the heels of the Eminem endorsement, it appears that one half of *The* Insane Clown Posse (as opposed to the GOP, *an* insane clown posse) is voting for Harris:

It was initially reported that Eminem's rival rap group were also doing a show in Michigan until people realized that "insane clown posse" was just how onlookers described the Trump rally that took place 3 days ago

There's nothing that can't be made into a setup for a "Deez Nuts" joke

Make a movie better by adding “in the ass” to it Das Boot in the Ass

Reading that article re how loneliness is driving young men to vote for TFG & having complex feels bc I saw loneliness eat away at someone I loved, I saw how it primed him to be radicalized but I've also known women & men just as lonely who didn't go full fash, or even fash lite

The USSR had Potemkin villages; we have Potemkin McDonalds. And doesn't that just make a staggering amount of sense

[Me, logging in after a few days of being off social media]: Feeling pretty good about life; let me log onto the virtual town square where I get my information and dopamine [Me, after 1.2 seconds on social media reading the most despairing hot takes ever]: Literacy was a mistake. Also, eyes

I mean, he's right, in that he was the government at the time

“Male loneliness” is quickly becoming to 2024 what “economic anxiety” was in 2016: a euphemism meant to disguise a dominant group’s turn to Trump out of status and identity grievance as a kind of reaction to their supposed victimization. www.nytimes.com/2024/10/18/u...

The (Star Trek themed) vibe I bring to the party

Every time someone says they used chatgpt to find some info, they're actually telling you that they have never been punched hard in the face.

How did we somehow get the Temu version of Dukakis in the tank

Are ppl freaking out bc they feel that Trump should be at, like 30% bc he's an ambulatory garbage fire? He's never going to be that much behind Harris. A solid 40% of voters *like* the shit he's slinging.

I've heard the argument before that it's a shame that Trump used his powers for evil bc he'd be an amazingly talented drag queen... but not with that foundation, he wouldn't

New: Major newspapers are giving Trump’s federal criminal indictment a fraction of the coverage they gave former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server in 2016 www.mediamatters.org/new-york-tim...
