"History. Ha ha. Learn from it? I can barely spell it." I fucking hate how stupid WE are.

Every day of my life, there's been a new and disturbing example of why we can't trust our government. Example 23,267.

🧵NOT BY ME, this is a post from someone who wants to remain anonymous but works extensively with trans people pre-transition. They were asked by someone “why do you think that’s so much [coverage of trans people] in the news at the moment?” This was their response:

Damn there's a lot of good baseball going on tonight!

We do not live in a free country any longer. How much it impacts us individually is based on many factors but, in degrees, we are all losing our freedoms. They aren't lost though. Time to fight. Fight for your neighbors, fight for yourselves. Fight for the incarcerated, fight for the forgotten.

Arrest the President of the United States of America.

I want the next few days to be like Alt Text descriptions of images.

Arrest the President of the United States of America.

Arrest the President.

I can't imagine how terrible it is playing baseball when it's 35° F.

I love this cat.

Donold sends people with soccer tattoos to El Salvador and lets people with swastika tattoos go free.

Let's see, some random thoughts. #baking bread isn't as simple as I thought it would be. Working from sourdough starter has been intoxicating and holy crap is time management critical and how do any bakers ever sleep? But the bread is delish so that's good. Also, fuck Bill Maher. What a weasel.

The tremendous amount of stupidity in power is crippling my own brain. Stupid begets stupid.

This is.

Cool.

The last time I felt this anxious was back in the early days of the COVID-19 global pandemic. The worst part about now is the anxiety is bested by a simmering fury at how stupid this all is, how unavoidable it was truly. There aren't any swear words up to the challenge of relaying the feeling.

We went to the #handsoff event in Kingston NY and I gotta say I was blown away by the turn out and the positivity and fire. We are all pissed off. What happens next? My two-sided sign got washed out by the rain and my wife brought joyous style to the resistance.

Our sourdough starter Rosalita made her first loaf of bread. #bakesky

Okay then.

Just putting this here as a milestone to mark when things are probably going to get very bad in the United States. What a bummer.
