I really miss Web 1.0. When I was a child in the 90s/00s; starting up my parents Windows 98 PC and then hearing the noises of Dial Up, made it feel like going on the Internet was an adventure. It was new, it was exciting. We’ve gained a lot technologically, but there’s a lot that we have lost too.

this Chinese restaurant has a still functional fax number. The other night I tried faxing an order to them just for fun and I got a call back about a minute later: “we got your order, 20 minute” and I was like … Wow, that actually worked. Good place though, decent food for the money.

Working on 3D printing a new protogen head base for @mipsprotogen.bsky.social .. this is the first of four jobs. Also, tree supports looks so weird. The second one is currently being printed, it is a mold that will have a piece of tinted plastic pressed over it in a vacu-form machine.

Bad UI design here... First of all this LCD is (oddly) not a touchscreen. The buttons 1-6 on the bottom are supposed to be like ATM buttons.... why do the functions listed on the screen not line up with the actual buttons? In a model-year 2017 Nissan truck.

I’ve been developing color film I took at #Furpocalypse! Color developing is not very difficult, but there’s a lot of things that could go wrong and you have to follow the process step-by-step because missing a step will ruin your film.
