I am not generally a title person but I am fucking STEAMED they can’t even properly call her Dr. Hayden. The first woman librarian of congress. The first black librarian of congress. The first LIBRARIAN librarian of congress. Eminently qualified, superb at her job, and deserving of all our respect.

I’m so old, I have lived through four previous mayors—Don Fraser, Sharon Sayles Belton, RT Rybak and Betsy Hodges. NONE of them evaded responsibility by demonizing the city council. And none of them had the kind of PAC machine that Frey has. He has truly degraded Minneapolis politics.

Mary Moriarty is a deeply smart, ethical, and caring prosecutor. She’s serious about the short and long term consequences of her actions, and is genuinely one of the best elected officials we have in Hennepin. And obviously, she’s not racially discriminating, she’s ensuring we *don’t* discriminate.

I’m very anti genAI for a host of reasons - theft of IP, environmental, social. But goddamn I wish critics of genAI would stop shitting on people who want help writing. Writing is a hugely important thing in our society - every job expects you to be good at it, every class tests you in school.

What a bunch of sick fucks to do this. Guess what. Immigrants are on average more law abiding than natural born citizens. Because, you know, they don’t want to risk being deported. And for those who do commit crimes, we LITERALLY HAVE A WHOLE LEGAL SYSTEM TO DEAL WITH IT.

Last week on Fox 9, Chief O’Hara claimed that he had been receiving updates on the Davis Moturi case every day for a period of two weeks. If that’s the case, why did he send an email the day after Moturi was shot asking simply, “Who is this guy?”
