it's all nonsense, tell all those people writing the doomsday posts to zoom out for more than just the last few months. Of course engagement is going to taper off since the flood of the post election nonsense. In Oct 2024 there was 80 million bsky monthly visitors, there's 150m today.

My guess is that #bsky popularity will ebb and flow like this for years. Sometimes an explosion in popularity, sometimes a downturn. But the population will keep growing regardless, as other legacy social media platforms footgun and struggle for smothering control over their users.
