Played Earth Abundance with upgraded bits for the first time today. Love how fancy it looks, but it takes up a lot of table space. #boardgames

I forgot that my character in Bardwood Grove yesterday wore jingle pants. #boardgames

A lighter than normal month. Finally pulled out Orapa Mine again for the first time since PAX, and got in a couple of sessions of Free Ride USA as well. #boardgames

Hell!

Played Blue Prince: The Board Game for the first time since 2021.

Slow news day in Ohio.

It looks like she’s animorphing

Crafting the Cosmos has great table presence, and I’m a sucker for anything that uses marbles. Not sure I’d pay $80 for it though. #boardgames

Known thing people have around the house

A bit of a quiet month for gaming, mostly because of Monster Hunter. #boardgames

Jay scored more points than me but got eaten by the dragon before he could escape thanks to unfortunate tile placement. #boardgames

Gonna buy this just to see people’s faces when I tell them I don’t have nieces or nephews.

Spruced up our game of Tales of the Arthurian Knights. Cubbi won a decisive victory at the end when he personally lit Queen Guinevere on fire. #boardgames

Ever wanted to dress like the ghost of Charles Kuralt?

Setting up a board game when you have two cats.

Today I realised (a) I'd never seen a picture of Ron Grainer, and (b) he looks like all the classic Doctors Who merged together.

Must’ve been chili night.

The Paradise finale was somehow good TV but also the Ratchet: Deadlocked episode of The Dead Zone. So glad there’s a second season coming.

Gonna show this to the cops after I walk naked through Walmart.

Was it bring your child to work day at Safeway?

Another afternoon of trying new games. Too bad Ostia is super expensive, because that was the one I most want to own. #boardgames

Lots of new stuff this month, but the big winner was Tether. #boardgames

The last thing you see before you die

Reporting MHW to the DEI hotline

@mo0.bsky.social We were just talking about how so many books at B&N had dyed pages.

I did not account for cat interest in string when I bought String Railway. #boardgames

Played Deep Sea Adventure Boost for the first time and we both died on all three expeditions, resulting in a 0-0 tie. Mistakes were made. #boardgames

I’ve been wanting to try Tether for awhile. One player connects their astronauts vertically, the other horizontally, and you’re trying to make big groups in your direction. A real thinker but plays in 10-15 minutes. #boardgames

Picked up a bunch of games from a math trade and several stores in MD today. Not pictured: We also rented SETI to try. #boardgames

A Saturday afternoon trip down the River of Gold. #boardgames

Haven’t done a lot of gaming this week, but we fit in Blockers! and Santa Monica tonight. #boardgames

Dear @bsky.app, Why does it take 4 clicks to report unmoderated dick pics? There has to be a better way.

January was lighter than I’d like, but still a nice mix of new and old. #boardgames

Finally got to Supermoon after staring at the box for a few days. It’s a good expansion that adds a few new ways to play tiles without reinventing the wheel. #boardgames

You have to build brand loyalty early in kids.

Finally cracked open the Masterpieces expansion I got for Christmas. The green and yellow areas are still too open/undervalued at 2, but there are so many choices to be made I still enjoyed it. #boardgames

Finally assembled my Frankenstein Glacialord that I got for Christmas. Very cool, though I’m not a fan of the partially applied stickers. It’s too bad this didn’t catch on. #transformers

Played TtR: Marklin for the first time. Kind of fiddly setting up all the merch tokens, but it’s still a good addition to the collection. #boardgames

Snagged a kickstarter copy of Rebirth today. Seems like it would be basic at first, but there’s a lot of interesting decisions to be made. #boardgames
