I'm so tired of seeing "don't buy anything on 2/28" pushed as some sort of activism. Shifting your purchasing from one day to another does no harm at all to corporations. It's a new low in slacktivism.

I caught @mscupcakes.net playing Semantle, a twist on Wordle that uses cosine similarity of semantic embeddings from Word2Vec. I'm pleased to report that I remember enough of my failed doctoral dissertation to intuit a reasonable guess. I didn't realize I retained so much from back then.

I have been converted to the church of Showman thanks to #RTGame. He won't take you to high ante every time but you can't get to the highest antes without him. (the run ended on ante 16 so you couldn't see the Jokers but it was mostly the same aside from more glass and Sock replacing an idol).

Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story. Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver. This is what "merit" means to them. apnews.com/article/trum...

It's truly impressive that Democrats are polling so poorly despite everything Trump is doing being so unpopular. His actions are wildly unpopular with Democrats, Independents, and even Republicans. Yet Democrats can't find a way to turn that into doing better than 21% approval.
