Mad king in a golf cart doesn’t give a f… about anything.

The Social Security Administration Is Gutting Regional Staff and Shifting All Public Communications to X.

Be careful what you say on social media, part 2 by @mathewingram.com via his excellent The Torment Nexus newsletter.

Oh this is rich — “undocumented people working on farms and in hotels would be allowed to leave the country and return as legal workers if their employers vouched for them.” www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/...

"It seems that some people did really well in the markets yesterday. So this was kind of, wow, what great luck!" No insider trading to see here! @samsteindc.bsky.social and @jvl.bsky.social:

Spokeswoman for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

The most corrupt administration in American history wants you to look the other way from this. We can't. We need answers.

I have to keep reminding myself — the United States is “disappearing” people!

Ack! #Warriors #DubNation

Manipulating the stock market so your family and friends can buy low and reap big bucks is just wrong. When will we learn that everything the dude does is about power? The power to give and the power to take away. Evil!

God I hope some brilliant journalist(s) is/are digging into insider trading among Trump’s inner circle. You know it’s happening.

Americans at all wealth levels are more likely to die sooner than their European counterparts, with even the richest U.S. citizens living shorter lives than northern and western Europeans. theconversation.com/americans-di...

Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA): "I'm writing to the White House to demand who knew in advance that the President was going to, once again, flip flop on tariffs. And are people cashing in? There is just all too much opportunity for people in the White House and the administration to be insider trading"

No. Both.

I need to get this straight. Lower court judges rule against Trump overreach. Scotus overturns lower court ruling on overreach. Subsequently, Trump & co continue to ignore lower court decisions. Therefore there’s no constitutional crisis until Scotus rules against Trump and Trump disobeys. Right?

Reminder: We are not at war with Venezuela. The people deported are not enemies. The law in question should not apply. Among the most dangerous aspects of the SCOTUS ruling is the idea that the president and his people have the right to arbitrarily determine who our enemies are.

With pensions a thing of the past Americans have been pushed into 401k plans or IRAs for retirement savings that are dependent on a stock market, now crashing due to these ludicrous tariffs. Add in DOGE threats to Medicare & Social Security, I’d say anxiety and outrage are more than justified.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says regular folks won't mind if one of their Social Security check doesn't show up. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says Americans ready to retire don't care about "day-to-day" market fluctuations. These people are robber barons with no empathy for normal people.

San Francisco gets an A+ for presentation and form.

I scanned dozens of newspapers from around the U.S. & world. On average, international newspapers cover the widespread protests against Trump/Musk and for democracy much more prominently on their covers than those in the U.S. This isn’t due to deadlines, protests were daytime in the U.S. #handsoff

The greed is boundless. www.washingtonpost.com/climate-envi...

newspapers are still bad at covering protests. They’re late to the game, they’re not sure how to write about, they default to what happened early in day or just in their city. Big dailies don’t put big picture writers on job. 3-5 million people rallied all over country today. That’s fucking huge

Here's how you end a Hands Off! demonstration, Santa Barbara style. Thanks to the Society of Fearless Grandmothers, who organized the human alphabet and took the drone shots! #indivisible #handsoff

SCOOP: DOGE is hosting a “hackathon” in DC next week with the goal of building one “mega API” for accessing all IRS data. Palantir has been brought up as a potential partner. www.wired.com/story/doge-h...

The human cost of gaslighting and how important it is to reinforce truth to keep each other sane.

If you haven’t read Burn Book by Kara Swisher, it’s a must read to better understand the dangerous power of the tech broligarchy. The paperback version has a post 2024 election afterward (though with all the havoc Musk has wrought it needs a post-post afterward…and then some). #BurnBook

Perfect!

Dang, I thought my marching days were over…nope! I’ll be in the streets Saturday, April 5.
