i guess you can reject historical materialism entirely (e.g. Benjamin) but the french revolution is *the* example for Marx so... lol. huh, every time these purely ideological revolutions happen, coincidentally there are massive crop failures and/or excessive taxation... damn that's crazy...

Y’all have to understand that things will get worse before they can get better. When formerly safe/privileged folks start to see their treats disappear, we must be there to educate them and keep them from reactionary thought. Many are assholes, and it’s gonna be difficult, but we have a world to win
