I'm not I understand this #tariffs things from a european perspective. Does that mean will mean buying in europe from US companies producing goods in china will be more expensive ?

I think I've been "Dark woke" since even before the term was coined, like back in the 1995. I've always been a brutal realist in my descriptions of the international and ecological situation.

This is a dream come true. It looks amazing and terrifying but comes with the fact that the original Jurassic Park will now be very different for me: I would just keep thinking and lamenting about the possibilities while watching it.

For most of my life, I hated the idea of honorifics: they seemed designed to reinforce power structures. But lately I find myself wishing that I had some way to address people in the game industry in a way that is shows professional respect without being over-familiar

Really good thread about how to create feelings stronger than wonder, called awe in this thread. Max talks about it from the angle of hugeness, It got me thinking. It is a deep #GameDesign worth discussing.

I concur, I don't work without unit tests any more, I'd go as far as to say that they are the only way to scale up a game without loosing your sanity.

For my first post I am going to write about what I would call my experience with the Diablo series. Growing up with old computers in the 90s Diablo 1 was huge for me as a youg adult: I could afford it and it ran ok on the aging apple computer my grandfather gifted to my parents.

It occurs to me, after reading posts getting it spectacularly wrong, that there are a lot of misconceptions over how game studios organize and, in particular, who makes the actual decisions about what ends up in your game. Much of it is by folks who don't *try* to get it... but not all, surely. 1/🧵
