I’m not familiar with this group, but I’m also not in the area at all. I absolutely love this creative approach to providing support for trans/enby ppl. Boosting in case anyone’s in the Asheville area & could benefit (or support).

Considerably more admirable than our household, where we all go around remarking that each other’s cloth is poor.

Movies you’ve watched more than 6 times, GIFS only

Shit, man. We need the non-living ones too. Haunt their sorry asses. No mercy.

So. It has officially happened. I have been officially let go from my position at CDC. I wasn’t a probationary employee. I had stellar performance reviews every year. I’ll be ok. But please understand that many worked HARD to get into these positions and were doing great public health work.

To all the people who stop and think before meeting up with a chronically ill or disabled person, and let them know you/someone in your household isn’t feeling well, so they can cancel if they need to, THANK YOU. We are SO sad to have to cancel, but so grateful to be protected. #disabilitysky

This is why we can’t have nice things

This is a really really really important point. Please remember not to conflate the hospital boards/high-level admin with the actual frontline providers of gender-affirming care. The clinics & departments themselves were never "cowards." They never "caved". They were as devastated as their patients.

Current mood.

This has shown up in my feed twice now & I feel I am entitled to some form of compensation.

Did hobbits have cats?

I thought this thread was a parody. 😶

I’m having surgery soon to remove a BI-RADS 4C mass that’s so deep they can’t fully reach it with a core biopsy needle. It’s at least 3 cm in one dimension & they can’t measure the other. I am being told that my post-op pain will be well controlled by Tylenol & cold packs. I hate this timeline.
