Funny piece, sure, but calling the latest Mission Impossible A BETTER FILM than No Time To Die is just so gobsmackingly stupid. defector.com/if-tom-cruis...

Can anyone think of any places that are publishing weird stuff about the internet at the moment? They do NOT need to be big publications; just places that are celebrating weird online stuff.

Got a half-hour script that I'd love some feedback on if anyone feels so inclined?

I have an eerily similar soon-to-be-published piece, and am saying that now to tackle any accusations of plagiarism HEAD-ON. @helenlewis.bsky.social being great on the world of high IQ. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Go on! Go ON!

As someone with a couple of TV script options, I'd love to offer comedy script feedback to people who need it. Get in touch for wise counsel and pedantic corrections on spelling. www.mrralphjones.co.uk

"How would the punters get to them?" absolutely entering my political meme lexicon, thanks Ash

Good advice!

www.independent.co.uk/life-style/a... Interesting read on the dumbing down of advertising... “You just wanna be noticed and get talked about. And if that means half the people are slagging it off and half the people are loving it, that’s great.”

Oh YES, what a piece. slate.com/culture/2025...

Tried to write about this, by the way. Spoke to the new owner, who had this sign commissioned in about 2023 because the previous one said 'WEAVERS ARS'. It took him a long time to notice the apostrophe. The company who own the pub don't want the bad publicity that would accompany a piece about this.

Absolutely sublime piece here by @davidmbarnett.bsky.social. observer.co.uk/culture/film...

Popbitch on SNL has been way off to an extent that's embarrassing. First 'Errrr, do you know they're asking interested writers to send them sketches - FOR FREE???'; now this, which is a perfectly normal and sensible thing for a company to do.

Utterly captivating Mission Impossible piece by @zachbaron.bsky.social. www.gq.com/story/inside...

Incredible that he did the "hat on a hat" thing literally, without even realising it. That's terminal humourphobia. That's being so harrowingly, cosmically unfunny that time, space and language bend around you.

Seems that way, yeah, even if you're a huge Fielder fan. Why not tell the contestants the show was fake? It doesn't seem to have relied on them thinking it was real.

Just saw a job ad that read, 'A skilled 'artist' required to create masterpieces on a casual basis.'

Haha. Olives.

Anyone seen any adverts with wording that particularly annoyed them recently?

What? That's what an audition is, Popbitch.

For Radio 4's DMs Are Open, I have a sketch - the last in the whole series - about a man who puts olives in his pockets and brings them to dinner parties. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...
