Regular White House reporters would never do anything this courageous.

Happening everywhere

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

They don’t even try to hide it anymore.

The little frog!!!

For obvious reasons, the lesson—the internet wisdom—behind ‘don’t feed the trolls’ is applicable to random comment board participants but not the president of the United States. The president and his White House staff spending time fantasizing about a monarchy is not wise to ignore.

If this is true it’s an unbelievably foolish, self-destructive approach to the problem. The media cannot function properly while it cuts secret deals with this administration behind the scenes.

This is too much!

Excuse me while I vent for a moment SHE IS THE APPROPRIATIONS CHAIR. SHE CAN SUBPOENA OFFICIALS, HOLD TELEVISED HEARINGS, HOLD UP ANYONE’S FUNDING, ZERO OUT THE WHITE HOUSE’S FUCKING ICE CREAM AND DIET COKE BUDGET, AND ENFORCE THE APPROPRIATIONS LAWS THAT ARE THE SOURCE OF HER PERSONAL POWER.

“A minorrrrrrrr”

New type of U.S. Treasury default just dropped: the fascist clowns in charge accidentally/intentionally declaring some of the debt invalid. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

The “I’m here live. I’m not a cat.” line is forever gold

Congrats to Patrick Mahomes on achieving “one of the good ones” status through his blonde wife. Go Birds.

Gaslighting is all fun & games until panic spreads in the financial system. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Does “Golden Age” refer to a time when planes keep crashing, eggs cost $10–15 a dozen, the U.S. is being booed and protested by all our allies, workers are losing their jobs, and Americans’ personal data is being rummaged through by unelected oligarchs and their strange crew of 20-something incels?

I do enjoy they’re so stupid and shortsighted they have no awareness of what they’re doing to own voters here.

We need to block all refugees *except* for the beneficiaries of the apartheid system, who we warmly welcome as one of their own is purging diversity from American government.

My little Kerrio and now sweet Mayan!

america's most coddled and pampered demographic (old white conservatives) will be exposed to like 20% of the bad stuff but will receive 80% of the sympathetic press inquiry

Damn it. I was going to do this one, but I thought it was too dumb.

Another five-byline siren 🚨 @washingtonpost.com www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

So many sweet babies and my little Kerrio! Have missed seeing videos of her!

Don’t look away from the needless death being inflicted around the world by the Trump/Musk shutdown of USAID. Even if the federal courts ultimately save the agency, thousands of people will have died in the meantime. Because of a billionaire’s spite, sadism, and paranoia. slate.com/news-and-pol...

Every headline that does not say “illegal” or “unconstitutional” is a failure to convey to the public the stakes of what is going on.

Notable that Elons crew of incels and edgelords are full fledged men for the purposes of being given the keys to car to run the govt. But for the purposes of being accountable for their actions they’re just kids from good families with youthful indiscretions.

Saw this headline and assumed it was about yesterday's story, but no, it's another one of Musk's horribly racist crew www.reuters.com/world/us/sta...

Something I’ve always wanted from the NYT, but that I can’t remember it ever doing, is for the newspaper to show some professional indignation about being grandiosely lied to.

I guess it’s outrageous that the American people want to know who is inside the government seeking to dismantle it and gain access to their data and a host of other sensitive info. We aren’t allowed to know who they are? Why not?

We need more of this great reporting. We have the right to know who is getting access to government systems and our personal info!

It really says a lot about the state of the world when this is one of the least alarming headlines I've read all day.

Pam Bondi is disbanding the Foreign Influence Task Force - the FBI team that is charged with combatting foreign meddling in US elections. Worth asking how this makes us more safe in any way, shape, or form.

Pitch for a new spy movie: a CIA agent spends years getting close to a terrorist suspect then just before he gets the crucial piece of evidence he’s fired and replaced with a teenager who doesn’t speak any foreign languages but does have a lot of followers on X. Everybody dies.

I wonder why Musk is focused on the federal civilian workforce (4% of the budget) and not federal contractors, which account for 3x more annual spending and are more prone to waste, fraud, and abuse?

If you work for the federal government and are tempted to take Musk’s “buyout” offer please know that you’re never going to see that money.

good. more like this. don’t give those fucking weasels a moment of quiet

So glad the big boys are making friends and happy. Need some good news and smiles these days!

If this happens - and if Musk et al get control of BLS - then all economic bets are off. I can’t say it any more plainly than that.

The cognitive dissonance of getting up every morning and making coffee and walking the dog and going to meetings and answering emails and wondering what to make for dinner while there is a real live actual coup d’etat happening is BONKERS

Every new agency, it needs to be said: Musk is NOT going after DOD, which has never passed an audit. This is not about the deficit.
