They can never release Garcia, not even into El Salvador, because he would expose them. Allow people to see him in prison? No. At best you’d see the standard “I’m alive and well” speech POWs give. It would be a miracle of Garcia is still alive. Only question is who authorized killing him.

Bukele tells the press “In a country of 350 million you have to imprison some”. Someone should have mentioned the US already has the highest incarceration rate in the world. Even higher than El Salvador. Also, the minor fact that they are allowed due process.

Arguing the meaning of the word “facilitate” is of course insane. The order was actually pretty clear. Our justice system is supposed to be “innocent until proven guilty”. I don’t remember a “clerical error” clause. Was it even mentioned when Bukele was in here picking up his check?

There is a zero percent chance the Bukele government hasn’t heard of the Supreme Court ruling in the Garcia case. Maybe I’m a cynic, but I doubt there’s much of a search happening yet. Imagine if he was in a US facility somewhere and we couldn’t “find” him.
