Groundr, a dating app for metaphysicians

Steven Pinker? I hardly Steven know her! (This account has now been blocked by Steven Pinker.)

A way analytic philosophy is more accessible than other humanities?

bro your sea isn't even wine-dark you're ngmi bro

I like how it still gets slow and quiet around here at night. Good reminder that the people I follow have much better sleep hygiene and more full and complete lives than I do

I don't trust pianists who look normal while playing the piano. Pianists should be weird little guys (gender-neutral) who make faces like someone is kicking them in the kidneys as they play

That's fine, universities don't need students anyway *listens to earpiece* I've received a shocking update

Pretty embarrassing for other, more complicated sandwiches that the BLT is just right there

When I can't verify the verifiability theory of meaning

Mal Shah is BACK baybeeeeee

Objective list theory of valuable human qualities, according to Chompers (2025): Making art Working through our own ideas Working through others' ideas Tweeting etc.

Man that VEO3 video is still fucking with me this morning. The philosopher-of-AI-to-Ludditte pipeline looking more and more tantalizing

Welp, it's been a fun ride, The Internet, but we're fully cooked

You can tell when I'm writing because I always post like a maniac at the same time. Write two paragraphs, post a joke; write another paragraph, reply passive-aggressively to someone. Symbiotic relationship

This is completely correct. While your professors might care about "metaphysics" or "philosophy of language" or other niche fields, remember that the only thing the profession cares about (and hires in) is philosophy of AI

So all those administrators cutting philosophy programs in favor of degrees with "marketable skills" are just doing it based on vibes huh

In a huge L for my anxiety, it turns out my minor health blips are not signs of an underlying malignant cancer, my friends don't all secretly hate me, and I am not in fact terrible at my job. Stay tuned next week, when I will inevitably become convinced that, this time, my anxiety is right actually

A few days ago a colleague told me I should use chatbots to find missing DOI numbers for citations. Claimed this saved him a ton of time and was a clear "good use case." Just tried it with 10 citations this morning, and 6 of them were wrong or didn't go anywhere lmao

*buying a bunch of chips and beer* CLERK: Oh are you getting ready for the big game? ME, ABOUT TO STREAM THE PRELIMINARY ROUND OF THE VAN CLIBURN PIANO COMPETITION: oh uh yeah

The cover of every OUP volume collecting Davidson's papers be like

was sitting in on a seminar and the professor went on a rant about how they hate latex, and people use it solely to seem adjacent to technical stuff without actually doing technical stuff, and then when they finished i went '...and if you want a guide for how to use it, check out my website'

People thinking they can "well acshually" me by mentioning small font or textsc or whatever should know that I wrote my dissertation in vanilla Google Docs with no citation manager. I am more disturbed than you could ever imagine
