RAT, general nuisance, interested in (mostly Scottish) railways. Big fan of episode three of the Doctor Who serial 'Robot'. I make silly talking train stories on YouTube. He/him. YouTube: https://t.co/y6AM85kRL0 Ko-fi: http://ko-fi.com/auldlangsyne

Still not over this!!!!!!

37402 “Oor Wullie” looking fantastic in large logo livery!

What if Auld Lang Syne was in comic/manga form? The combination of a recent trip to Edinburgh, a rewatch of @oldlongsign.bsky.social 's Auld Lang Syne series, a 7 hour train ride and a hangover created this...thing!

what is going on my fellow trainiacs ha ha ha

So, I've been playing around with 009, and by playing I mean going to town on this Meridian Models Talyllyn kit. It's running on a modified N-drive chassis and was certainly a fun project from start to finish. A nice little diversion that totally won't lead to more 009 antics...

new hornby range is a bit shit innit?

The MAUDE committee met up at Haymarket station today. They say that they're working on 'Tube Alloys'... whatever that means.

My first model roundup on Bsky! Been another year where I've not made a single TTTE piece of rolling stock, but I have stuck with doing some TTTE buildings. Most of my focus this year has been L&PR/Anstis Works related. Captions added to show what is and isn't this year's work.

Very rough sketch as practice for what’s to come @oldlongsign.bsky.social

Oh yeah. It's that time of year again when that song is sung. Why not watch a trains with faces series that shares its name? www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Can highly recommend the new Hornby 'Gough' (if you can get it under what Hornby are pushing it for 😬). It's got all the rivets and details it should have which, I must admit, is a huge shock after seeing the ROD model...

Thank you all for the reaction to Paddington’s Christmas Shopping! If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s still on YouTube! youtu.be/-u1oKveuaOg?...

Premiering now! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-u1o...

gutted that they cocked up the best livery. green looks too light and the buffer beam and buffer shanks aren't even green :(

On this day 190 years ago the Dublin and Kingstown Railway opened

Can confirm. It's great and I still have it tucked away!

“Christmas Engines” is one of my favourite watches this time of year. It covers so much ground and tells four completely unique stories. So much charm in the writing, narration, and direction. youtu.be/0m-a3WMDsW8?...

Did You Know: ...that there's a Trainz model for Maude? Made by Andrew when the original series was still just about a thing and before either of us knew much of Maude's idiosyncrasies. I still think it's a lovely model - great for yeeting wagons... #AuldLangSyneNewWeeFacts

Did You Know: ...I REALLY wanted to do some dockside scenes in the original series? The thing is I had no idea how to make something look dockside-y. These photos show a poor attempt. Anyway, I made a pair of tugs - one is based on a local one, the other is... obvious. #AuldLangSyneNewWeeFacts

i could easily write a movie length auld lang syne it'd be shit though

I was gonna wait until he was done but I'm way too excited with how this is turning out. Here's my 16mm live-steam 'Stanley'! Still needs a '2' on the cab side, lamp irons and vacuum pipes, but he's so close now - I can't wait to fire him up soon.

the auld lang syne fun facts thing is only a thing because i found some stuff while rifling through a hard drive. unfortunately i keep finding more stuff. i’ll stop being annoying with it soon… maybe.

Did You Know: ...that in almost every Auld Lang Syne episode there is some sort of Doctor Who cameo? If you look very closely, you can spot the TARDIS, Romana II, the fourth Doctor, Peri, the Brig, and Ace in the first episode made in 2016. #AuldLangSyneNewWeeFacts

Our little documentary about the Talyllyn and it's connections to the Reverend Wilbert Awdry has just passed 9k views. For us thats a huge achievement ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🚂🎥 youtu.be/FV4RqH6HPuY?...

The context of this is genuinely lost on me.

Happy St. Andrew's Day! Did You Know: ...before being named after a general in 1919, Maude was named Andrew (after the patron saint of Scotland)? This breaks a little rule I have about having characters not sharing names with friends. Sorry, Andrew. #AuldLangSyneNewWeeFacts

i think i have found a solution to the upside down image problem - stay tuned and find out if i really did it at 7pm!
