One of my favorite types of notifications.

I’m in the real book :) Nitin Kartik featured me among amazing product marketers. I’m honored.

For the last 6 months, I have been growing on LinkedIn slower than during my first year on LinkedIn. Does the number of followers mean nothing now? Or does it mean that huge accounts spend all their days on LinkedIn/use a team of assistants?

I've updated my list of 60+ startup directories to launch/submit your startup (I included only the best). olenabomko.gumroad.com/l/best-start...

How does this mysterious situation with unread emails/saved screenshots happen?

🎁 I'm giving away my best-selling Product Hunt Launch Playbook. Yes, it was my paid playbook. Yes, customers were the Top Products of the Month/Week/Day. Link: olenabomko.gumroad.com/l/producthunt

A typical website visit in 2025: 1. Battle with all but essential cookies. 2. Scan the website. 3. Try to figure out what "AI-innovative-platform" means. 4. Stop the auto-playing video. 5. Close the support widget. 6. Close the "subscribe to our newsletter" pop-up. 7. Give up.

Word of mouth is the best marketing channel.

When I want to sound more like "an award-winning digital marketing agency." This page (meme-style) is one of the most visited pages on my website (with my Product launch services, Playbooks, and Free marketing resources).

Different types of positioning: - For a subcategory/niche/specific segment - Against a category leader - Challenger. - Democratizing X. Low-cost - Lite version - Real, transparent - Head-to-head competition - Premium - Platform - Category creation All playbook olenabomko.gumroad.com/l/homepages

Happy New Year from me and my trees 🌲🌲🌲 I hope we'll have peace, health, and wellness in 2025. If this is a bad time for you, don't feel guilty. I hope that you are able to reach out for help and find some healing.

Wow! I’m in the real book :) Huge congratulations to Nitin Kartik on launching his book. The book is packed with 100+ real-world lessons, expert interviews, and actionable insights on product marketing, market research, competitive analysis, storytelling, sales enablement, and KPIs.

One of my favorite comments from my customer (LinkedIn Playbook). When I work with tech startups, we use my playbooks, too.

1. I got an email with "RE:" in the subject line (like this wasn't his first email). 2. I tried to remember who this sender could be. 3. I realized I didn't have any previous interaction with this person. And then everybody hates marketers. And have all the reasons to do this.

Popular product launch mistakes: 1. You promote your product only during launches. 2. You think that virality during launches is very important. 3. You didn't define fundamentals. 4. You launch only on launching platforms. 5. You don't use all the resources you have.

How to find the best marketing/growth channels for startups? 1. Double down on what already works. 2. Do customer research. 3. Is this a self-serve product or sales involved? 4. Study competitors. 5. Prioritize channels based on your budget and resources (what you're good at). 6. Launch. Test.

"Just build a great product and customers will come." - founders with 100K followers posting their free advice on social media. Why do they waste their time on social media when they can spend this time “building their great product?”

State of LinkedIn 2024: 1/ 54% of longer posts are likely AI-generated (WIRED). I hope they are wrong. 2/ LinkedIn became very saturated. 3/ Many influencers have big teams who manage everything for them. 4/ For some people, LinkedIn is a full-time job. 5/ It's still the best platform for B2B.

When I saw that Basecamp published 999 customer testimonials, I promised myself that I would have the same amount of testimonials on my website :) Right now, I collected about 100 testimonials for my playbooks (I didn't include testimonials from my clients).
